Lower Extension Re-roof

The images below depict a job we completed during Spring 2012 to strip off and renew a lower extension roof on a property that was being renovated in the North Shields area.

As with all pitched roofs the first stage consists of stripping off the existing covering and removing the rubbish from site, followed by the second stage of felting the roof using a semi-permeable roof underlay and lathing the roof ready for slating.

The job was then completed using a good quality second hand Welsh slate, as per the customer’s request, and included the installation of Velux windows on the side and back elevations.
